Mr. Trump said there was “no way” Taylor Swift would support Mr. Biden’s election, amid speculation that the President’s campaign wanted to enlist the singer’s support.
“I signed and am responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all artists working in music. Joe Biden did not do anything for Taylor and never will,” said the former US President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social on February 11.
Mr Trump’s post referred to the 2018 law he signed addressing copyright issues, which was seen as a turning point for the music industry.
“There is no way she could support Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the history of our Country, and betray the man who has made her so much money,” Trump added. “Also, I like her boyfriend Travis, even though he may be a liberal and can’t stand me!”
